New rules for waste sorting from 1 January
From 1 January we must sort waste into 10 different types. In this way, we can use the resources several times and recycle even more. Most Danes really want to contribute, but it can also be a bit difficult with the waste sorting.
Therefore, we suggest that you have the same distribution of waste outside as inside. So if, for example, you have to sort in 6 waste containers outside, it is easy to have six waste bins for your waste inside. Several types of waste may be mixed.
So it could look like this:
- Hard plastic, soft plastic
- Beverage cartons
- Glass and metal
- Cardboard and paper and textile
- Food waste
- Hazardous Waste
Most people already have a solution for residual waste under the kitchen sink. The new waste sorting gives us the opportunity to recycle even more, so that resources can get back into circulation. The more you sort your waste, the better the materials in the waste can be turned into new products. For example, our ReCollector waste box is made of recycled plastic and the plastic can also be reused if it breaks. So recycling makes good sense 🙂
